Are you an Ageless Traveler looking for the best cruise deals? Join me and Ann Marie Weather of Cruises It and learn how to save big while enjoying luxury.

I visited Cruises It and found dream cruises, including a 99-night around-the-world cruise on Cunard’s Queen Anne for $18,900 plus a balcony upgrade and $2000 onboard credit!

Curious about short cruises? Cruises It offered a 3-day Royal Caribbean Cruise for $311, with $1700 in spending rewards and 60% off the second guest in the room. I took the same cruise with my family this February and spent twice as much on the same cabin type, with no perks.

When I met Ann Marie at a travel conference, I affiliated with Cruises It to get us all the best benefits for river and ocean cruises. During my Podcast interview with Mary Ann, you will learn how to access exclusive rewards and discounts not available directly from the cruise line. Whether you’re into exotic destinations or family-friendly cruises, this episode is packed with valuable insights. Tune in now and plan your next getaway! How I Beat Seasickness

I didn’t cruise for 20 years because of seasickness. My husband, a great sailor, encouraged me to try cruising again. About 20 years ago, I discovered acupuncture, especially effective for seasickness, with needles placed in the wrists. After three sessions, I’ve been cruising ever since.

I am conscientious to avoid seasickness. If you are prone to it, you know it’s awful. I use Cruise Critic to assess sea conditions, especially in the North Atlantic or if I am going on seas that can be rough. This research helps me decide whether I can cruise without acupuncture. I’ve sailed through the Cape of Good Hope and the International Date Line with no issues. I also wear wristbands based on acupuncture principles.

How to Get Fitter and Lose Weight on a Cruise

Whenever I go on a cruise, my first stop onboard is to meet with the restaurant’s food manager. Sometimes, they see me right away; other times, I wait until the first meal. I will explain my need for a low-salt diet and my husband’s diabetes. Our meals are prepared separately, resulting in fresher, better-tasting dishes with fewer unhealthy ingredients.

I do not opt for a drink package. It’s too tempting to overdo it on prosecco. Instead, I purchased a bottle of wine to enjoy during the cruise. The bottle is brought to me wherever I am on the ship, a restaurant, or a happy hour on deck. In this way, I keep track of how much I drink.

On the first day, I visit the gym to plan my exercise routine and meet the gym and spa team. I rarely take paid classes but often book one private session with a fitness trainer. At $50-$90 per session, I receive a fitness analysis, exercise recommendations to continue at home, and an hour of expert guidance. The team remains available for questions and assistance throughout the cruise.

These are just a few of my hacks for cruising. Please ask me your questions at fanlist.com/agelesstraveler.

If you’re in Los Angeles in May let’s meet at Mostly Midsummer

Let’s meet at Mostly Midsummer.

The Chaotique Theatre Company presents Mostly Midsummer, A Play Within A Play. Tickets are on sale now for $25-25 at Chaotique Company. It promises to be a great venue with limited seating.

And here’s the best part: My daughter Rose is the producer and director! If you enjoyed shows like This Is Us, Monster(s):The Menendez Brothers, Rose and her team are behind the casting. Her unique interpretations of Shakespeare have won awards at fringe festivals. Her direction of Inherit the Wind at the Pasadena Playhouse was nominated for an Artios Award. Let’s meet at the bar before the show for a great time if you’re around.
